You said: drop it off; we can do that. You were done about 3:30. Others around you couldn't give me an appointment (understandably, given lateness of day) or told me I would have to wait in line, with no assurance that I could be tended to that afternoon). Many many thanks to the crew at Tuffy. They diagnosed and fixed the problem with my AC. Turns out it was a broken bolt connected to the clutch that runs the compressor! I went in thinking I needed a tune up because the vehicle I just purchased was burning a lot of gas. Carlos spoke to me, asking a few questions and suggested I have my fuel injector cleaned instead. He also advised me the cost is much cheaper and my resolve my issue. I took his suggestion (he's the expert) and was very pleased with the customer service. They could have done the tune up for the extra cash but the honesty goes far goes far with me. I will be returning if I have any auto care needs.

I received A1 service from this family own and operated business. I had a non repairable flat tire and called several other shops and and all of them said the size tire I needed was not stocked and would take 2-3 days to get it. I called Carlos and Diane Mangual @ Tuffy tire & auto repair. They got the tire, installed it, and 3 hours later I was back on the road again. They even offered to pick me up and bring me to the shop to get my car after the work was completed. I'll try to keep this short. I'm not local but I have a vacation home in Bonita. I've been taking my car to Tuffy since about 2006. Chris and the Tuffy mechanics are honest and have always gone out of their way to keep my Tahoe running safely without gouging my eyeballs out. I now have a newer car that they continue to keep running for me (when the car sits for a long time things tend to not always work correctly). The customer service Chris provides is second to none. I thought I was special (haha) because every time I go to the shop, Chris always remembers me and comes out to greet me (but after reading other reviews he seems to do that for everyone). He has even gone as far as driving my car to my residence when it was fixed to give it back and I couldn't walk to Tuffy due to the heat. I'm a custmer for life, thank you Chris.

I am a Minn. snow bird and needed to get an oil and filter change while here in Ft. Myers Beach. I checked around to find an independent that had good ratings and it took me to Tuffy in Bonita Springs. Stacey took care of me and everything was done on timeand all good. Soon after I developed a noise in the rear of the car and took it to Tuffy and Carl road tested it and informed me it was a rear wheel bearing. We ordered it and made an appointment to drop off the car and had it repaired on 3/8/22. They completed the work and I picked up the car on 3/9/22. We had a bit of miss communication on the repairs and after talking to Carl we resolved the issue and all was good. I will in the future take my service needs to Tuffy of Bonita Springs for as long as I keep coming to southwest Florida. The team is great.

After 3 days of zero communication or a diagnosis of my car, I sought out Tuffy. I have always had a good experience with the impeccable standards that Tuffy offers and the location in Fort Myers was no different. Nick, the head manager, and Steve were beyond helpful. They not only kept me informed of their process the entire way and quickly repaired my car, but they also managed to save me from spending more than necessary by ensuring that give me the same warranty for a used part as they would for a new one. When I got my car back, I had some residual issue with a fuse. I brought the car back in and they repaired the issue at no extra cost. Stop your search if you are needing car service or repair. Owner Carlos is incredible, technician/mechanic Jarrod is a beast and Ast. Manager Jack is terrific. If you want honest, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, professionals this is the place. We were traveling from out of state when we had an accident late on a Friday night. Saturday morning without an appointment Jarrod and Carlos quickly had us an estimate and spoke with the insurance adjuster virtually. Carlos was determined to get our car fixed and us on to enjoy our vacation. Carlos was able to correct a deficit in the estimate and secured an additional $300 from the adjuster on our behalf. The parts arrived and Jarrod worked through lunch replacing our radiator, fan assembly, condensers and all that goes with it. He managed to get the damaged bumper and grill back on with a new temp sensor. The work was finished the same day and we were on the road. Tuffy saved us from needing a rental and calmed my anxieties with a guarantee on the repairs. Being in desperate need and from out of state we were completely at their mercy, but could not have had a better experience. Ft. Myers is lucky to have them! I highly recommend them for all your auto service needs.

They did a complimentary overview and found the front brakes to be very dangerous. On my way to work I suddenly heard that awful sound of air escaping my tire. It was LOUD!!! Upon stopping at a motorcycle shop and getting help from the owner with the doughnut tire - he referred this Tuffy Auto Service Center as not only the closest (1/2 mile away) but also personally known for great and trustworthy service. And that is exactly what I received from the men at Tuffys. And even though they were busy and had a bay load of vehicles - they had my tire all plugged up and on the car within 10 mins and made it to work on time. This surprised me because after telling me itd be 1 1/2 hrs before they could get to me - I was told to pull up and wait in the lobby so they could check the air. Came in as a first timer needing an oil change for both mine & my husband's cars. I made an appt. for the next day but upon leaving I ripped the whole front end of my husband's car off at the concrete parking curb. Not only did they fix it for free (it was my fault), but they showed me areas on the car that needed serious attention or would cost me dearly in the end if not fixed. I signed up for the Tuffy charge account which literally only took a couple minutes and was able to get the most serious repairs done the next day. I was there 5 hours(I was offered a ride home till completed but chose to stay) & I witnessed Steve the manager interacting with personnel, phone calls and walk in customers. He impressed me greatly! Can't say enough great things about Nick, Steve, and staff. We recently moved to the area and were hoping to find an honest, reliable, and competent full-service establishment. We read some reviews and since they were literally down the street we decided to give them a try. We had just purchased a used car from a local dealer and took it to Tuffy because we detected a bad vibration when on the highway. After the courtesy inspection, we were made aware of numerous issues, including tires that were so dry-rotted the staff was amazed that we were still driving on them. We were hesitant at first but Steve gave us a great deal on 4 premium tires along with some other parts and services which were required. I approached the dealer to make them aware of the issues, as well as my disappointment, and they purchased and gave us one of the replacement parts. We took it back to Tuffy and had them perform the service, as we didn't trust the dealer's mechanic to do the work. Then, the dealer even offered to pay for our next oil change at Tuffy because we wouldn't let his mechanic touch our vehicle again!! While we were waiting for our new tires and other services the first day, I noticed that every customer that came in was a returning client. Steve was interacting with everyone like they were his friend or neighbor. I wish we had met these guys before we bought the car but hopefully they can help us get at least another 100,000 miles out of it!! I will definitely send them business whenever possible and even told that dealer to switch from Meineke to Tuffy for work on any of their cars in the future!!

I recently moved from Pennsylvania and didn't know where to take my car. I was used to going to a small shop in my PA town, guys who were honest and really knew what they were doing. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a place run by people who were like that. A friend said she takes her car to this Tuffy auto center and that Steve, the manager is great: honest, knowledgeable, friendly, a guy you can trust. I went to Tuffy in San Carlos Park because my brakes were making a noise only in the morning. When I arrived the shop was very busy and Steve the Manager was very polite and professional. They took the time to pull all my tires and inspect my complete brake system. Steve explained that all my brakes were in great shape and the there where no issues with my brakes. Honest and knowledgeable! As a woman, I have experienced the worst by visiting car dealers (even Mercedes Benz) and other automotive service locations. However, this Tuffy location is always a great experience. I am treated with respect, the prices are right, and the entire staff is honest. The latest example is that I thought I needed a new muffler. I made the appointment, and fully expected the noise I had heard was a bad muffler. However, I was told that it was only a disconnected muffler pipe. Instead of faking a repair and replacement, they were honest with me, and I expected a large bill, but I was only charged for fixing the muffler pipe. I believe in people again!

My car read low tire pressure while I was driving on 41. I looked over and saw this Tuffy station. I pulled in asked them if they could help me put air in my tire. The gentlemen behind the desk immediately came out checked my tire and we noticed a screw. He immediately notified another mechanic, they backed my car in plugged the tire and I was off. My car has over 40,000 miles and I thought it best to have my brakes checked. I went to shop near my home and after their inspection they told me that I needed new rotors and brake pads now on all four wheels at an estimated cost of over $800. I then read reviews on several other shops and discovered Tuffy with a very high rating. When I arrived even without an appointment, they drove my car first and then took a look at my brakes and concluded that nothing needed to be done at this time and that I had maybe 10,000 or more miles left before anything needed to be done And they took the time to actually show me the rotors that were not scored and looked to be in good shape. They passed up an opportunity to sell me an expensive brake job but instead gave great customer service... putting the customer ahead of them making a quick profit. Refreshing to know there are still honest people in the car repair business...very professional and I certainly recommend them highly!

I brought my auto to Tuffy's on 6/19 and feel I have finally discovered an honest service station. On 6/6 I brought my car to Galeana KIA, where I purchased it and have had it serviced. The car was not starting all the time. They replaced the battery which I expected. I was also told that I needed front brakes. I was surprised since I had an oil change on 3/8 and had travelled only 2291 miles. Below is the technician reports for both visits: 6/6 3/8 front 3mm lt. 3mm rt 6mm lt. 6mm rt rear 8mm lt. 8mm rt 7mm lt. 7mm rt I knew something was not right and said I wanted to think about this. How could my front brakes wear 3mm in 2,291 miles and how could my rear brakes improve 1mm. On 6/19 I met Steve Joslin, the Tuffy's Service Manager, and he took the time to take me into the service bay and show me my brake pads and show me what new brake pads look like. My brakes look great. The front brakes are at 60% and the rear at 80%. I will never bring my car to Galeana KIA again and count my blessings that Tuffy's was recommended to me. I am typically very insistent about doing all of my own work on my vehicles but lately have not had the time. After having a handful good experiences at their shop getting tires mounted/balanced/patched, I decided to take my truck in for an alignment and tire rotation. I left my truck with them and took an Uber home, after a few hours Steve called me and insisted that I came back to the shop to see the many issues and worn out parts that were going to need replaced in the front end of my truck. I told him that I would head that way, just had to call an Uber he instantly replied "don't worry about paying for an Uber, I am coming to pick you up." They picked me up, we discussed the issues at hand and what we were going to replace and then they drove me back home. Steve and his crew really understand the true meaning of customer service. To be 100% honest, before working with Steve and his crew I would never take any of my vehicles to a chain mechanic shop for anything but tires. Carlos and team are great. I actually live in South Carolina and was calling on behalf for my brother. He had a flat and did not have the lug nut key. He tried getting his tire fixed at the local dealer but they took over 7 hrs to fix the tire. I called Carlos three times that day to get advice and pricing on their service. They would have removed all 4 lug locks for what the dealer charged for just 1. This was a blessing in disguise. Not only did they let me know the issues with my car, which made it clearly unsafe for driving, they made me feel like I was an individual rather than just another person walking through the door. Being a mechanic requires a very advanced skill-set, that's why people take their cars to auto-shops; even if they changed nothing to your car, their time is worth more than the $25 you may end up paying. If you ever need brake work done on your car, these are the guys to do it! They're the best! There's an expression in business" In the long run, its HOW you do business, not just how much business you do!". These were the most ethical, customer-oriented car guys I've ever met. I thought my guys back in New England were good. These guys are even better! I put new rear brakes on my Honda CRV only 10,000 miles ago, and to my surprise, they started making noise, as if it were a warped rotor. Well, they pulled the wheels and discovered to my surprise that my guys in New England didn't do the job properly. The Calipers were not sufficiently lubricated and didn't fully release. This meant overheating on my brand new Brembo rotors, which supposedly don't warp. Well, I guess that's not true. Also, they taught me that ceramic pads are "cooler" than semi-metallic pads and make less noise. I didn't know that. I wanted to highly recommend this Tuffy operation and say the customer service provided by Owner Kris Miller, Sales Manager Alan Wilsker, and mechanic Reed was second to none. They were courteous, efficient, and they knew their stuff. Now I know better than to get semi-metallic brake pads again. I give these guys the highest possible grade and being honest, trustworthy, and easy to do business with. When you're on vacation, what more could you ask for? I recently took my '08 GMC Acadia to Tuffy Auto Service for A/C repair after diagnosis of a failed evaporator. Kris quoted the job based on 12 hrs. labor, plus parts. After two days in the shop it became clear that the job was much more involved than anticipated and it would take an additional two days to complete. I had obtained a rental car for transportation during the repair and, because of a weekend, needed to extend the rental by three days. Upon completion of the repair Kris held firm on the quoted price, even though the repair took much longer to complete. Additonally, Kris reimbursed me for the extended car rental. After I got the car back I noticed that the heater would not work. I returned to Tuffy for diagnosis and it was determined that the repair would require disassembly of the same components as the A/C repair - another two days in the shop. Upon completion of this repair Kris advised there would be no charge - for parts or labor!! These guys demonstrated the true meaning of exemplary customer service. I was referred to this Tuffy Repair Service by a friend and now I will not hesitate to refer my friends and acquaintances to them as well. Job well done guys!

Tuffy South Fort Myers was recommended to me by a friend that uses Tuffy for service and I would describe him as a knowledgeable Car Enthusiast; I had been told by another service center that I need a brake job very soon on the front brakes. Steve the Manager of Tuffy was direct and straightforward and suggested that he would pull all four tires and inspect the pads and rotors. As I was not able to wait that day, he made an appointment a few days later. That saved me a $700 -$900 unneeded break job. Steve showed me the pads and his opinion was, that pe in a year I should have them checked again because no brake service was neede at this time. No other service center or dealer ever encouraged me to personally inspect/see the brake pads. As someone with only rudimentary car mechanical knowledge, I depend on honesty; and will bring my other cars to Steve and his crew at Tuffy because I believe that this shop does provide an honest appraisal and recommendations. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH STEVE FOR A FREE OIL CHANGE THAT I PURCHASED AT A SILENT AUCTION FOR SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS IN DECEMBER. WHEN I ARRIVED NICK TOOK MY INFORMATION AND OFFERED ME A COFFEE FROM THE COFFEE STATION AND SAID TO MAKE MY SELF COMFORTABLE AND IT WOULD BE ABOUT AN HOUR SINCE I WAS WAITING FOR THE CAR. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE AMOUNT OF PHONE CALLS THEY WERE RECEIVING AND THE PLEASANT WAY NICK HANDLED EACH CALL. THE WAITING AREA WAS CLEAN, NEAT, AND COMFORTABLE. THE COFFEE WAS GOOD TOO. I TOOK HIM UP ON THE OFFER FOR THE RIDE. NICK CALLED ME BEFORE THE CAR WAS DONE AND I GOT A RIDE BACK TO TUFFYS. WHEN I ARRIVED THEY WERE GETTING READY TO TEST DRIVE THE CAR. Service was fast, staff was first rate, and the pricing was very reasonable [I mentioned that the oil fill cap was labeled "5W-20" when the owner's manual called for 5W-30 [which I believed was the correct viscosity - I've worked on cars for over fifty years starting at a local gas station in rural Illinois]. This job was done yesterday. I checked under the hood today; they had replaced the fill cap with one correctly labeled 5W-30; no charge. Enough said, A+ grade.

Everyone has horror stories when it comes to their car mechanics. The way most of them do business is to lie, cheat and deceive, to get your money. Most take advantage of people in their desperate state. Tuffys in San Carlos Park does not abide be these standard rules. I have been going to them for my mechanic needs for years. They go to great lengths for their customers and provide excellent service, not to mention their honesty. Steve and Robert are awesome, they will not sugar coat the situation and tell you like it is. They will not lie or cheat to get your money on the contrary they are honest people. If your car is not worth fixing or if its unsafe they will tell you as such. I myself had trouble with my cars computer. They had to change it out 5 times until they finally found one that worked. It was not cheap by any means. However, they worked relentlessly to get my problem resolved at the lowest possible price. My work truck overheated just around the corner from Tuffy's. I was able to coast in to their parking lot. After a brief conversation, they rolled my truck into a work bay and within a few minutes gave me a review of what was wrong and what it would cost and when it could be completed to get me back on the road.
